Course Description: KGHarris & Associates, LLC leadership training and development seminar retreat provides leaders with the tools for managing the functions concerned with directing the work of others, with limited fiscal resources. As leaders required to set organizational goals and objectives, determine what jobs are to be done, by whom, where decisions are to be made, how to group employees, while monitoring activities to ensure all municipal goals are met and maximized. Upon completion of this seminar retreat attendees will possess the knowledge and skill set to achieve and exceed human performance goals within organizations, in an environment where stories can be shared to grow leadership practices. Law Enforcement Diversity & Cultural Competency (Exclusively for current commissioned and non-commissioned law enforcement leadership) Objective: The primary objective of the comprehensive four-day law enforcement diversity and cultural competency seminar retreat is to expose those on the job (current commissioned and non-commissioned law enforcement leadership only) to the unique processes required to stimulate awareness and acceptance of individual differences within law enforcement organizations through learning simulations, small group dialogue and full group interactive, (i.e., role-modeling) activities from a communication perspective. Unlike other organizations law enforcement must exhibit an appreciation of diversity and cultural competency internally, as well as, externally through the citizenry you serve.
Course Description: provides law enforcement leadership with a thorough understanding of global perspectives, and an increased acceptance of individual differences. In addition, the seminar retreat assists law enforcement leaders in identifying the unique attributes of various cultural groups to ensure access, appropriate service, and effective communication among officers and the citizenry. Most importantly, the very act of conducting the assessment is a testament to the community that your law enforcement organization values diversity and desires to increase its cultural competence. |
